School of Life

Sol Learning Center is an all welcoming learning space that  offers children and families a place to meet for educational and social enrichment.  Our purpose is to support families who choose an alternative path for their children’s education whether it be full time enrollment, social enrichment or homeschooling support.

In the Fall of 2021, two parents, passionate to hold the line on parents' rights to educate and raise their children without the dictates and mandates of an exceedingly over-reaching public education system, joined forces and Sol Learning Center was born. The "accepted system" of education in this country has stripped parents and their children of their right to autonomy over their own bodies and minds. Sol Learning Center is the firewall to this system. Organized as a Private Membership Association, we operate outside of the public domain, allowing parents to enroll their children free of medical coercion. "Sol", stands for "School of Life", which embodies our vision of expanding education beyond core academics and allowing children to see, touch and experience learning outside the classroom.  Our heart's goal is to spark the love of learning in each child and nurture their curiosity for life. Ultimately, we want to blaze a path for other communities to follow our lead, to take back the reins of their children’s education, and boldly stand in their truth and power.

At SLC we use a strong homeschool curriculum for our core academic study. Additionally we follow the natural life flow of the seasons to include nature  exploration, art, and hands-on projects. We believe in teaching life skills and using hands on experience to make learning meaningful to our students. We believe in the importance of movement, play and outdoor time being heavily incorporated into our daily activities. We believe it's healthy to spend time barefoot upon the earth and allow our students to let their feet breathe. We believe in educating the whole child, mind, body and spirit in a wholistic way, allowing them to express and nurture their own individuality and unique gifts.

 Our goal is to nurture and support each child's innate curiosity and desire to learn, fostering internal motivation rather than reliance on external rewards.
